Duplex bar

No ratings yet
Drinkees and food-sharing dishes

Specialists in wine and cocktails and, until 9.30pm, suitable nibbles, whether meatballs, hummus, haloumi, scampi, ravioli or a pick of cheeses. Opened June 2022 by an entrepreneurial trio (two of them gay) who also operate neighbouring French-Belgian bistro BOHM & Berkel and tearoom Dorothy (at numbers 3 and 5, respectively) in the quaint and olde-worlde square Hendrik Conscienceplein [see entries]. Clientele is in the region of 40% gay male, though the overwhelming feel is one of inclusion, with ages from 20-something to 60-something (at least) and including drag queens, cross-dressers, gay/straight/non-binary and the hip and young.
