Bourla (aka De Kleine Bourla)

(1 Rating)
Buzzy Belgian brasserie

Overlooking Antwerp's Graanmarkt and round the corner from the theatre which spawned its name, Bourla is a rather large, high-ceilinged and and warm brasserie with a moderately pricey menu of well-prepared Belgian, French and Flemish specialities. Attracts ladies who lunch, businessmen and discerning diners who might wish to sip on a bowl of tasty fish soup or attack a steak tartare while sitting under a chandelier. Very central and very nice, and not nearly as pretentious or stuffy as it might sound. Closed Sunday. Located just south of of the fashion-frenzied Schuttershofstraat. Opened 1995.
