A no-frills 145-room hotel overseen by the massive and global Accor-owned ibis chain, located around the backside of the beautiful but elongated Central Station (Centraal Station!). A decent enough option if cash is an issue and you plan (as is recommended) to spend most of your waking hours consuming arts and goods and standing round in bars. Opened in 2008, taking over from previous occupant Etap. Its sibling at Meistraat 39 [see entry] is located on the other side of the tracks, a bit closer to the action, though this surely qualifies as A-grade-central.
