A stunning theatre named after its architect Pierre Bruno Bourla (1783–1866), this neoclassical beauty, marked by a columned circular front topped with statues of famous arts figures, opened in 1834 as Grand Théâtre/Théâtre Royal Français, staging French productions. The Bourla is now home to theatre company Toneelhuis. In-house brasserie De Foyer capitalises on the building's stunning interior.
