Café Twilight

Popular café-bar opened in March 2014 by Kristof Dierckx and Jeffrey Wuytack, who previously owned the Red Star Café (2010–2012) and, more importanly, the original and more boisterous Twilight in former gay ghetto the Van Schoonhovenstraat. This reinvented retro-style version is a bit quieter and non-gay-specific, marked by an emphasis on drinking and chatting, with nibbles available. Seats 26, with nearly three times as many places outside overlooking the very central Theaterplein, not too far south of the Meir. Now overseen by Thomas and Nico, who took over in August 2017 and who in March 2022 opened the Cock wine/cocktail bar immediately next door [see entry]. Café Twilight hosts the MSC-run Leather Social twice a year.
