Man on dance floor
Antwerp's most expansive and famous gay dance club, Red & Blue is known as one of the hot spots of northern Europe. Opened in November 1997 and still under the same ownership, the sizeable one-room mecca has an industrial feel, with name DJs spinning mostly house until 7 in the morning. Every Saturday the club takes great pleasure in staging the only weekly male-only dance party in Belgium, with go-go boys, international guests and occasional erotic shows all part of the package. This is Antwerp at its most humpy-thrivey. Lesbians have their moment on the dance floor every second Sunday of the month with Cafedelove and every third (or last) Friday with Cafedeluxe [see combined entry]. Sundays are given over to Studio 54— a more gay than straight night that features stage performances by four or five drag queens.
